I've been working on a project for a few months and it's sort of taken up all my time. ALL my time. But finally I'm ready to share with the world.
I made a list because I'm a list maker.
If you read The List you'll know exactly what I would like for my birthday and why I've (dare I say) earned it.
WAIT!!! Don't write me off as a person with ego to spare, you have to read The List first, after all I've spent some time working on it.
1. I'll be 31 this year. That's totally a milestone. Really it is. The traditional gift for the 31 year old woman is something sparkly, I prefer clear sparkle with a hint of fire but really I'll take any color. I will also accept cash.
2. My daughter turns 9 this year, 2 days before my above mentioned birthday. The traditional gift for the woman who gave birth to her first child 2 days before she turned 22 is, umm, I don't know. Let's just say that I could use a new pair of boots... or cash of course.
3. Finally the last reason why I need a really great present is that 3 days before I turn 31, August 8 if you were wondering, Miles' child number 5 will be arriving. Yep, you read that right. I said FIVE. I'm tired just thinking about it, also a little nauseous but mostly tired. The traditional gift for the mother of child number 5 is all of the above plus some well, cash.
Five, people, five.

PS- I'm only half as self- centered as this post makes me seem, just half...
Wow!!!! So exciting! Congratulations!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That's so exciting!!! I'm so happy for you!!! I can't wait to read all of your baby posts and follow along - yay!!!
ReplyDeleteYippee!! We are so happy for you. 5 is a great number.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I think you deserve all of the above plus the cash PLUS a vacation. But not one WITH the 5 kids....one without them. ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats! I love baby news! So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThat is such great news! So happy for you! You are very blessed to get to have 5 babies to love! Hope you get lots of naps now. Probably don't but I will wish you lots of rest.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Cinda
Hey, 5 kids isn't so bad, really! Plus you'll have a 9 year old to help out, right? (That's what I always say to myself anyway--unfortunately the kind of help I get from 6 year olds has been somewhat less than helpful at times). Congrats!! I'm really excited for you, but just a tad disappointed that I'll miss seeing baby Miles by a few weeks. We'll be in Utah in early July again...can I come visit you? I'll clean your house or make some freezer meals or whatever you need. =)
ReplyDeleteHeather, my door is always open!! Seriously I'd love to see you. I was hoping you guys would make it down this summer. Greg asked me in all seriousness if I wanted to make the trip your way this summer, I just looked at him...
DeleteSo I'll plan on seeing you!
